When machines talk to machines!

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the “next big thing”. At least it is what experts say. For Günter Obiltschnig and Applied Informatics that’s nothing new. Since more than 10 years, the Carinthian software company develops and programs appliances that allow machines to communicate with other machines. Stefan Weder and Die Wederei supported Applied Informatics to medially promote its own open source platform macchina.io within the German-speaking countries.

Applied Informatics

Applied Informatics is a software specialist for the Internet of Things (IoT). Since 2006, the Carinthian company led by Günter Obiltschnig develops comprehensive software solutions based on open source technologies. Its development platform macchina.io combines Applied Informatics’ solutions Open Service Platform (OSP), Poco C++ Libraries and my-devices.net.

IT - German, German - IT

JavaScript, Poco C++, SOAP, MQTT – what sounds extraterrestrian for many is day-to-day work for Applied Informatics. To bring these abbreviations, the IoT world and the platform macchina.io to a broader audience outside the IT language area, Stefan Weder and Die Wederei created a press release focusing on balancing IT knowledge and understandability and spread it along the German-speaking IT media.
